Our Founders & History

We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to obtain honest, objective, and unbiased financial advice. Since its inception in 1999, Financial Decisions has been dedicated to that mission. Our founders wanted to open the door to high quality financial services, which was previously closed to everyone but high net worth clients. To fulfill their vision of making financial advice accessible to everyone, Rick Adkins and Cindy Conger teamed up with two other planners in 1999 to create Financial Decisions. Karron Wages joined the team in 2005 as the lead financial advisor and president of the firm.

In 2018, Cindy Conger began implementing a succession plan for her separate advisory firm, Conger Wealth Management, by partnering with Advisory Alpha, LLC. The partnership of the two firms was such a good fit that Financial Decisions decided to partner with Advisory Alpha, as well. In April of 2022, Advisory Alpha became the official long-term succession solution for the founders of Financial Decisions. Our relationship with Rick Adkins and Cindy Conger continues through our decades of friendship, shared values, and common goal of making high quality financial advice available to everyone. Karron Wages continues to lead the Financial Decisions team and serves as the Senior Financial Advisor for the practice.
